Event Description

The Greatest Hip Hop Cover Story Ever Told braves a 30 year journey through the life of Hip Hop from 1979 through 2009 and boldly claims:

"Like it or not, the world is Hip Hop and there’s nothing you can do about it - at least not now! It’s grown to become an essential part of everyday life around the planet earth as evidenced in most commercial jingles, sitcoms, church sermons, sports competitions, family reunions and school programs. Plants probably grow differently to hip-hop."

This production tells the story of an art form that has transcended into an ever-growing culture through lyrical content and video imagery while showcasing DC’s brightest Hip Hop stars.
