Transforming Places Into Art Spaces

I will admit that I was one of those people who wanted a Jerri Curl and red leather jacket when Thriller came out. I studied the moves with my sister. I stared at the cover of the Thriller album for hours. I pretended to kiss Michael at our wedding with my pillow in my room. I even had our kids named and a plan for how I would get to California after college.
Then the charges trumped up. And my dreams were shattered. Yes, I believed right away that he molested the boy. He never married (he was waiting for me but I was a little too young). He took Brooke Shields and Webster to the Grammy's. He lived alone with animals on a huge ranch. Of course he touched those boys. At the time, I'll admit now, I believed it. But as time passed and the media circus reigned on, I changed my mind. I went back to the old frame of mind. This was Michael. My fashion icon. My muse. My husband. He wouldn't do something like that. He's special.
Michael gave us a lot to talk about. That's for sure. He was different. Just a child at heart. A child on the run. A child at play with other children. A child star on the rise and fall. I honestly believed two things about Michael. He was an innocent minded man from birth til death. And that he truly loved his fans. And for that I love him. And I always will.
